General Mills Hamburger Helper Expandable Ad

A top layer floating ad for General Mills and Hamburger Helper.

This might not be the greatest animation ever done in the history of the world… but it certainly exceeded expectations.  This piece was originally done for a General Mills sales presentation demo.  But the folks at General Mills liked the concept so much, they asked for the demo to be made into a live ad.  That’s a real compliment because the ad basically went live as-is.

See the “directors cut”: This is an alternative version that was pretty adventurous.  In this particular version, an image in the page content appears to be manipulated by the ad execution.  The idea would be that the ad would check out the pages RSS feed, figure out which image is being served to that particular spot, and then use that image in the ad itself.
